DOMAI

A long long time ago, when I first discovered internet porn, I was completely indiscriminate about what I looked at- if it involved a girl with little clothing it was good enough for me. But in the years since, I have learned a lot, not only about pornography, but about my own taste, and I discovered that what I enjoyed looking at the most were just good photographs of naked girls. The site that made me realize that porn does not have to be tasteless, poor quality, or oversexual was DOMAI. What struck me most was DOMAI's philosophy: "The beauty of woman is valuable, and not only is it okay to admire beauty, it is a sin not to." The other porn sites I had been looking at seemed to suggest that looking at porn was a morally bad thing to do.

After looking at DOMAI's free content, I found that I agreed with them that the female body is so beautiful on its own that it doesn't need any sexualization at all to be incredibly wonderful to look at. For many weeks I visited no other site but DOMAI, and I was somewhat embarrassed about how much time I had wasted with the terrible stuff I had been looking at previously. DOMAI revolutionized my perception of female beauty, and although I have explored many other sites since then, I have always kept DOMAI in my mind as the basis of my understanding of female beauty. It's definitely worth taking a look at their site- they have lots of free content on the photos page, and in their newsletter (which is really worth reading by the way).

I've put together 3 sample galleries for you to look at, loosely organized into these styles, respectively: outdoor nudes, artsy studio-type photographs, and indoor shots.

Met-Art

Met-Art is quite literally the mother of all erotic photography paysites. It was the first, it is still the biggest, and it has been copied countless times. No other site boasts 3 or more updates per day and several hundred thousand photographs.

About the style, Met-Art is all about glamour. The vast majority of the models on Met-Art are big-breasted, perfect-bodied glamour models. These girls are (with rare exceptions) not 'cute' or 'innocent-looking' or 'natural' or 'amateur'. They are sexy, glamourous, professional models. If this is what you're into, Met-Art is perfect- if, like me, you generally prefer the more natural, innocent aesthetic, Met-Art is not for you. However, Met-Art is just so incredibly enourmous, you can most likely find what you want in their collection.

What I feel is missing from Met-Art is that elusive personal touch that I keep talking about. This may not be a bad thing, depending on your point of view, but I feel that as a result of its size, it feels somewhat mechanical and anonymous. You don't feel like you know the models (as you might in MPL Studios), and you don't feel like you know the photographer (as you do in Hegre Archives). However, on several occasions I have found a set on Met-Art that was just so good that I had to overlook all of this (and I have provided a few of these below). Take a look at these sample galleries, and for an even better idea of the frequency and style of their updates, take a look at their updates page here.

MPL Studios

MPL Studios is a fantastic erotic photography site which has a few important differences from the sites I've already discussed. While Hegre Archives, Gallery Carre, Galitsin News, and Whitfield Journals all put the emphasis on the photographers (just look at the site names), MPL focuses on the models. The result is that the photographic styles are quite varied, ranging from artsy black and white to more standard color studio sets, from public urban flashing to idyllic countryside nudity. Instead of feeling a connection to the photographer, you feel like you're getting to know the models themselves.

The site also emphasises its geographic and ethnic region, namely Eastern Europe and Russia, and this plays a more important role in their content than you might expect. Sometimes it seems as if the photographs are focused just as much on the city as on the model. If you have spent any time in Eastern Europe or Russia, you will undoubtedly find lots of pictures of naked girls in public places you recognize- a feeling which never gets old. MPL Studios provides a wide variety of content, so no matter what your favorite style happens to be, you will be sure to find somethng that interests you at MPL. Here are 3 free sample galleries: For more, check out the free tour and updates page here.

Whitfield Journals

There's a new site on the block: Whitfield Journals. The work of one excellent photographer, Rene Whitfield, this site has a very different feel to it than Hegre, Galitsin, and the rest. The photographs convey an amazing amount of emotion. There is a lot more than just sexuality in these images, there is personality as well, and in my opinion at least, that makes them incredibly erotic. As I said the site is new, so there is less content and less variety, but despite this I have found some photosets here that are much better than anything I've ever seen on Hegre or Galitsin. It's amazing how different each of these sites is, in their choice of models, style of photography, and general aesthetic. This is some of the most erotic, most tasteful, and most real photography I have ever seen. Take a look for yourself:

Gallery Carre

Gallery Carre is a new site, which is similar in style to Galitsin and Hegre, however it is much more specizlized in its content. It is the work of the photographer Didier Carre, whose photographs are mostly black and white studio shots with interesting light and composition. At first glance it might seem that this is just nude photography, but looking a little closer you notice that Carre is not shy to show every part of the female body. The fine art approach is not lost when the camera is focused on the girl's crotch, resulting in some of the most intimate and artistic images to be found anywhere.

The content is very limited however. While Hegre and Galitsin both contain a massive variety of styles of photography, Carre is extremely specialized. However, if you like his style, the consistency is a good thing.

Here are some sample galleries:
